PHILOSOPHY

    ACUPUNCTURE AND MOXIBUSTION

For all health conditions and health maintenance.

Paediatric sessions are offered without the use of needles and based on Traditional Japanese Shonishin theory. Shonishin is a gentle, mostly non-insertion style of Japanese acupuncture used to treat babies, toddlers, small children, and older or sensitive children before puberty.

    ACUTONICS (R)

Acutonics® was born from the deep wisdom of Traditional Chinese medicine, and uses the theory together with the research on sound and vibrational healing. This treatment features the use of specialised calibrated tuning forks instead of needles. The treatment is gentle, nourishing and useful in supporting health through a variety of conditions.

    THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
     CHINESE NUTRITIONAL THERAPY & HERBS

A branch of the traditional Chinese medicine therapies, Tui Na brings Chinese medicine theory to life, through touch. Similar to acupressure or shiatsu, Tui Na offers therapeutic support through a range of different manual techniques without the use of needles.

Food is medicine. Chinese medicine nutritional food therapy and herbal medicine is a holistic approach to nutrition and health. We consider the thermal and energetic nature of foods and herbs, seasonality, locality, and individual constitutions and disease pathology in order to prescribe individualised nutritional and herbal support just for you.

    About Wu Wei Medicine

    Where to begin?

Since I can remember, I have always been fascinated by the aspects of life that bring a feeling of ‘wholeness’ and sense of purpose.

You know, those moments in life where we miraculously feel in flow with all that is, and feel inexplicably beautiful and powerful in our being.

Somehow, my curiosity for those little pockets of wonder, inner peace and acceptance led me to the pursuit of wellbeing via the ancient art and science of what we know as 'Chinese medicine'.

I’m so glad to have the privilege to immerse myself on this ancient and limitless medicine recorded meticulously and handed down through generations across thousands of years.

Before immersing herself a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture), I was a solicitor with a special interest in Arts and Media Law.

Though I enjoyed providing my legal skills and knowledge to assist people, I could not ignore the calling to invest myself in something more eternal and true (for me).

This led me to investing in Yoga Teacher Training , and not long after, still seeking the ‘right fit’, a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture).

While completing my bachelor, I committed myself to participating in Traditional Japanese Medicine Study Group – learning the practices of Classical Chinese/ Traditional Japanese Medicine through the lense of Ikeda Masakazu (Ikeda Sensei). This learning is ongoing for me, and I expect that I will spend the rest of this lifetime dedicated to learning the theory and practice of this medicine.

During that time, I also got married, bought a house, sold a house, and had two beautiful little boys. Amongst other things! Wild, but true.

I truly believe that our body is the wisest of all, containing the inherent power to recover, heal and be well. The majority of the diseases and states of imbalance we experience today are due to lifestyle factors. As such in addition to providing acupuncture, moxibustion and tuina, I am passionate about health education and assisting clients to cultivate health and lifestyle practices to support their best health.
